Where to buy BEST battery
#1
I need to replace all my batteries and plan to use these quads a lot this year. It seems the Interstate batteries I used did not hold up. I see they are making them in China now. Does any one make a battery that last more than one year?

If you're really interested in long life batteries, go with Odyssey. They have long shelf lives, massive power, and can be deep discharged without harm. They are built to military specifications, and are not cheap. But they will outlive regular batteries.

I would also go with an AGM battery. However, I would not let a dealer or someone at a store do the activation if required. Do it yourself and follow the instructions to the letter. Some of the AGM batteries come activated at the factory. Hopefully, they follow the correct procedure.

You will need to measure your current battery/battery box, then find the Odyssey battery that will fit. Their website lists the dimensions of each Odyssey battery.
I use Odyssey batteries in both my motorcycles, and will purchase an Odyssey battery for the quads when the OEM batteries die.
The reserve capacity of Odyssey batteries will come in especially handy on the KQ400, with its winch, heated grips, heated clothing, (winter use) etc.

They're not that expensive. I paid like $135 for my yuasa replacement on the 700 x2! I think the battery tender is key to long battery life, though.....
Thanks for the link to odyssey, KQ400Pilot.

Ok, I'll measure up and see what they have. I tried a Walmar battery for my 446 big bore/stroker Wolverine, and it just doesn't seem to have the ***** to give it a good spin, I took the starter apart, cleaned it up, and tested it on a car battery, spins like a dremel !! the CCA's and reserves on the Odessy looks great, should be just what I need to turn that beast over !!
