Default Raptor 660r reverse issue

Runs great in all gears, but when i put in reverse it idles fine, but as i give it gas it starts to like miss and pop. Gives me very little power to backup (on any kind of decent incline wont move). Not sure if its electrical or what, if anyone thinks they know ide appreciate it.

its your rev limtier its very hard to back up unless on flat ground you can get rid of it with a cdi box or you can cut the wire but the box would be the way to go

The factory puts way too much limit on reverse, I suppose to please the corporate lawyers so no one can sue them when they wipe out going 50 in reverse !! My Honda 300ex is the same way, just enough rpm to back up, but just a little to much gas, and it sputters like crazy. Funny, my Wolverine has no limit, just geared low, but you can get pretty scary going too fast backwards !!

All you need to do is ground out the signal wire, go to www.sandwizards.com and look on the left side for the "tips and tricks" section. Dig around and you'll find a step by step procedure with pictures
