Dont assume your fluid levels are correct
#1
my buddy and I bought two new 850xp quads a few weeks ago.
when we checked fluid levels we found out that they were low.
rear diffs were a good two ounces low and the trans were EIGHT
ounces low on each bike. The front diff was up to the correct level.
we contacted our dealer and promptly given a quart of each oil.
my decision to post this is purely fyi for newbees,
not a knock on my dealer at all,
as the manager did reprimand the tech who signed off
on the checklist. I am a first time buyer of a quad and consider myself lucky that my buddy has owned several. He was adamant about double checking everything first.

very good info to post. seems like some of these dealers dont do a very good job on any of these bikes on thier pre check before they sell them for sure.
