Default Neeed help badly 2000 blaster!!!!

ok so my blaster at first was running an then it would not idle when coming to a stop.. After that it wouldn't even start without using the throttle so no idle at all. I have the k&n air filter on i took it out washed it (stoupidly) and put it back on and rode without oiling it.then shut it down and started cleaning the carb.Could riding without the oil in the filter have messed it up? an when applying the oil should filter be wet in oil when putting it back on?

So i called yamaha they said it sounded like a carb problem but charge $300. so i decided to do it myself. So i took it off and left it in the solution and drained my fuel tank then dryed it and put it back in place. IDK anything about jets either.. But could I have done somthing wrong like reinstalled it wrong? Or does anyone know if it could be the spark plug and how tight i would have to tighten the new one if i install it?

o yea the blaster turns over fine it sounds like it wants to start. I put the light switch up last night and the light would come on barely if i kicked it enough like i could see the light showing a little. Starter or Plug or wire problems??

Where do you live? Maybe I could give you a hand. Heres some stuff to start with.

You never want to put a K&N air filter back on when its wet. You will suck water into your engine at itll run like crap. All the rest of your questions should be answered already at these websites.

That gold screw should be 2 full turns out from being all the way in. You may need to move it in to 1.5 if 2 doesnt work.
