Default Suggestions on Motocross Boots

I'm extremely new to riding and need suggestion on ridding boots. I'm looking for boots that can protect me from scrapes and possibly breaks. I would prefer boots that hit the calf. I'm not looking to spend over $150.00.

I'm a recreational sports quad rider (2007 Predator 500) - soon to be ($$ permitting) a Sportsman 800 rider. I'm probable one of the oldest on the forum -- therefore I won't be doing too much radical stuff.

I would like them to be durable, able to handle some water, comfortable and allow me to comfortable feel and shift gears.

Please give pros and cons.

Thanks in advance...

Well theres alot out there, the boots I have are the FOX Tracker ($110) and they work great for me, I do alot of trails and MX, and they are perfect.

If you want to see more theres www.chaparralmotorsports.com, they have everything you need.

I am in the market for boots as well, but be careful buying on the internet. I went locally just to try a pair of Fox boots on and I normally take a 10. A 10 in Fox was way too small. Unfortunatley they didn't have other sizes to try so I am not sure how small they run. I could see an 11 or maybe even a 12. The boots don't seem to run true to size and that holds for Thor and Alpinestar as well.

I recently purchased my first pair of boots, Alipnestars Tech 3's. At first, they were very uncomfortable, stiff, and hard to shift with. After I broke them in and adjusted my shifter pedal slightly, they are fine! They were about $130 or $140 I think. I highly recommend them.

Where did you get the Tech 3's for that price?

Royal Distributing in Guelph, Ontario. They were on sale for $140, I checked the bill. Regular price was $170 Canadian there.

Canadian144-that is a good price on the Tech 3's. I just ordered a pair myself but paid about $150. I was going to save a few bucks and buy the Thor Quadrant but could not find a store locally to try them on. Plus I have only heard good things about the Alpinestar boots.

Nice purchase! I think you will enjoy them, I'm pretty sure that they are #1 in boots for MX and ATV (maybe tied with Fox, I guess it depends on which model and the rider). Good price to!

In that price range many people would agree that the Thor Quadrant ATV boot is probably the best buy. They are usually around $130 and they are very good boots for that price. They also seem to be sized well compared to normal shoe sizes.

I went with the Thor Quadrant 08 for $101.00. I couldn't find them cheaper in a size 12.

Can anyone else find a better price?
