Just bought an old warrior it is a 95 model to play around with my brother and friends. My brother has a 2005 Polaris outlaw 500 and my buddy has a 2007 raptor 700 what can i do to my warrior to help it out a bit. Any easy and cheap mods that will give it a bit more power?
thanks.

You could try and find a high compression piston for it. Tires always help. Power is nothing if you cant put it to the dirt. You can regear too if your looking for power in a specific RPM range. Unfortunitely theres not many power mods for a warrior. Im not sure if they sell different cams or not. Try ebay but post here before you buy, a lot of gimicks out there.

thanks for the reply. yeah there are cams how easy are they and how much will i gain is what i'm trying to find out..... I am a technician so wrenching is not hard for me..... Are the cylinders chrome bore so i can just slap a new piston with out having to hone or bore? If i can just slap a piston and cam in and pick up some good hp that might be a possibility.... but again will that be enough to get me close to my brothers outlaw 500? he has the k&n filters and has holeshots

do your self a favor get rid of the cobra it is less than stock it is hurting you. find an fmf or muzzys exhaust. and re jett after.i understand that web 430 is the best cam for the warrior but hot cam stg 1 is just fine and you can run stock springs and retainers with it. ditch the 9.2-1 stock piston and go aftermarket 10.25-1 to 10.5-1 will let you run pump gas just fine.and you will have an awsome warrior.and you wont be toooo far behind.i ride mi warrior with kfx 700s 400ex and an outlander i have as much fun as they do and i can keep up on the trails.

Put an HMF sport exhaust on it and a K&N Pro Design air filter setup. That'll cost you about $300 for the pair or a little more, and will net you decent gains. Dump that Cobra exhaust, they are absolutely junk. If you want to go a little further you could go to a .040 over high compression piston and put a Webcamshafts 84 grind cam with new valve springs in as well, which will take you up close to a total of $600 with machine charges for the bore, but I really would just put the exhaust and air filter and leave it at that, a Warrior can become a money pit.
In a drag, you will NEVER be close to the Outlaw 500 unless you dump thousands into your motor (446 big bore/stroker kit), but I can say with confidence you will be able to keep up with him with no problems when trail riding and most other things, it is just in a drag that you will get beat. And the Warrior will be a lot more reliable than his Outlaw.

yea dont take the mods to far, just get a pipe, filter and jet kit and ride the hell out of it, cobra pipes are big crap, i used to have one on my bike when i first got it, the differnce between the cobra and the hmf was night and day
