It shows on Polaris website the front rack has a 90 lb capacity and the rear 180 lb.
Has anyone one ever seen game being carried on this type of machine?

 

Yes it will.
Half on front, half on back. The hard part is getting all secured, it tends to wiggle loose on the five mile down hill trip to camp.

 

90lb on the front! I had 200 lb men sit both on the front rack and back rack with gear to get to our fishing spot down one slow rough trail.

I think my front steel bumper /bush guard and winch weights close to 90lbs.

 

Sure, but the hard part is getting it wear boots and a helmet.

Ok, I had to get that out of my system.

I've known several people who have gone over (way over) the weight suggestions on the racks and had no problems.

 

This is loaded up. It took two guys to lift that front cooler on the ATV.

 

It will be difficult to steer but yes it will. I have pull 1/2 ton pickups with my 01 500. TOUGH machines.

Question.......Why is my Polaris Sportsman 450 (2006) rated to tow 1500 lbs.
Yet the mother-in-laws new 2008 Chev impala is rated for 1000 lbs. towing?

TLC... that is some good looking country there!

 

I'd recommend the X2. It will carry a true 400lbs. in the rear dumpbox.
