Put a "Dial-a-Jet" on the carb. That way you can adjust for alt. on the fly.

Go to Holtzman.com as there are far better options then dial a jet systems such as their ATACC set up = (Automatic Temperature and Altitude Carburetor Compensator) which frees you from potentially costly human error. They specialize in a variety of carb stuff stuff, mainly sled but also do ATV's and if they don't have what you want there are other manufacturers with the same idea and principles. If your dead set on a Dial A Jet system I have a used one that is complete that I took off of my machine because I was NOT HAPPY with the what to me was constant fiddling with it I wanted a set it and forget it type system- New they run you $75.+, I'll let you have my used one for $25. shipping included BUT like I posted I recommend calling Holtzman - your call

Default high alt. jetting?

We're from MN. Casper? We drew elk tags for the bow season...they should be in full rut...sweet.

Just curious if anyone knows what jets we should run...they're cheap, easy to change for one week
We'll need it, we don't need any dial a jet or "spendy" alternative.

Any help is much appreciated.

Default high alt. jetting?

when we went to colorado last year I called a local polaris dealer where we were going to ride and they were more than happy to tell me what jets to use.
Be warned tho, even with jetting they are going to be doggy but shouldn't be a problem.

Here is a polaris dealer in gillette wyo that should be able to help.

Thanks for the info guys...I'll call a dealer out there, that along with what info I gain here will get us set up.

Kerbbirds...been doing lots of research on the hunt itself, have heard the same, don't bugle much, mainly in the early am to pinpoint their position...make our move...cow call to pull them close. It's going to be a great hunt, harvest or not!! There will be 4 of us total, split up, each of us will have a caller and someone to help glass. 7 months away and I'm already itching!! Being our first year applying we weren't expecting to get drawn, with the average bull between 280 and 340 with several 350+ taken each year we're pumped. Still waiting to get drawn in New Mexico...that might be many years though!
