1994 Kawasaki Mojave 250 Starting Issue
#1
Hello i have recently been have problems with my mojave sometimes i could let it sit for like a week and put it at full choke and it will start up first kick and then smoke like a bitch and then once warm it will stop or sometimes it could sit for a week and it gives me problems like i put it a full choke and kick it and it will start but stall and it will do it like 5 times and then wont do anything then i move it to half choke and the same thing will happen meanwhile while this is going on a lit bit of gas dribbles out of the carb overflow hose and then after 30 kicks or so and puttsing with the choke it will start and once again it will smoke again till warm so i had two thoughts is it my carb fuel level set to high and flooding out the motor a little or is there to much oil in the engine bore and choking it once it stars running under its own power also it will smoke at high rev to thanks for the help

sounds like you need to adjust your float level and give the carb a good cleaning and a carb rebuild kit wouldnt hurt. as far as the smokeing it could be time for a top end rebuild. take it to the shop and have them do a compression check on it for like 30 bucks or so and they will be able to tell you if the top end needs rebuilt.
