Default just got an '08 sportsman 800HO mossy oak

As the subject says I just got a 2008 sportsman 800HO mossy oak edition (actually my step step dad bought but I'm his free mechanic and I help him work in the woods so I'll claim part ownership). One fairly short days work in the woods yesterday just cutting a few trees and all i can saw is WOW! This 4-wheeler is amazing! Pulled some fair sized pines that we cut down did not even section them and the bike was still in high and did not know the trees were there. Also had to pull the heavy utility trailer up a couple hundred yards of steep rutted out hill side, because the ol' truck got stuck trying to do so. Had some questions though. We ordered a manual but it has not some in yet. Its not really important but we would like to know how to use the digital gauges. Such as setting the clock, and resetting the trip odometer (which for some reason the trip odometer shows about one more mile than the actual odometer, go figure?). One more slight concern. There is a rattle in the exhaust this does not effect the performance of the ATV and if it were several years old would not bother me at all but for how new it is I would like it to go away. I can't decide if its the springs used to attach the different pieces of the muffler or if it is the heat shield. All your comments are much appreciated!

Just navigate using the yellow button thru the options. Speedo, RPM's, Milage, trip gauge, hours. Then to set clock you have to enter the Diagnostic mode. I believe you need to be in Neutral. Hold down the yellow button turn off the quad count about 10secs turn off and on real quick. You will see the V.xx and then the mode. Navigate with yellow buttton and then like setting a watch time, same principle, use same button hold in and move over after hold in, the time blinks and then it will go the right for seconds.

Cheers,

R'

Check the heat shield. I just had to tighten down one bolt on mine not too long ago. It was right behind the side panel.

No, while displaying the trip meter, just hold the yellow button down for about 5 secs or so. It will reset you back to 0.0. Heat shield is probably were the rattle is. Look behind the mid section of pipe, where the second set of springs are from the back.

You cant reset it while in reverse, cause then the yellow button becomes the reverse override..
