Take a look this may help you one day

I just picked up a 2006 Predator 50 for my kids, It was not running when I bought it. The owner said that it was running fine one day, Then the next day it would not start. I figured it was a dirty carb and went ahead with the purchase. I got it home and started pulling it apart, First the carb and yes it was dirty. Put it back together and still no start. At this point I have spark and fuel in the cylinder. So i figur it has a weak spark, Pull the stator and pick up ( they were covered with mud) clean and re assemble, No luck. I go online and buy a Repair manual for some more thoughts. The next thing to be checked are the reeds, I pull them and all is OK, Now I'm worried that it will need rings and a piston... The manual says check for blocked exhaust, I pull the pipe off the cylinder and try and start, Bingo it starts fine. I then pull the pipe off and look into it from the rear and it is blocked solid with mud. I hope this info will come in handy for someone when they are stuck and have tried all the normal places to look.

I know that a Two stroke runs best with some Back pressure, they even engineer pipes for a specific amount of back pressure at a given RPM range. That seems a little excessive.
I wonder if the kids were trying to redneck the performance power curve?

I heard of mud dauber wasps making nests in ATVs too. Your pipe can get plugged without going muddin.

IDK about all of you, but that one quad I would want to unknowingly try to start!!!! It could hurt. I was mowing and went by an old electrical shutoff on an abdoned poll and bumped the poll. Lucky I was close to their swimming pool, I ditched the mower and dove into the pool after about twenty stings. I said more than OUCH!!!!
