I am relacing the bearing & seals on front drive and I am puzzled at this point cuz the strut hub replacement bearing & seal kit comes with 2 seals (1 kit per axle) and the strut housing only had 1 seal (in the back) . The only thing I can thick of is that I should double up or stack both seals. The original seal was definitely thicker & the seat appears to accomadate both the new seals since they are alot slimmer.
Am I wrong?

Does the old seal have two lips???
If so check which way they are facing and install both seals accordingly.
Usually the inner seal will have the lip facing to the inside to seal lubes in and the outer seal with the lip facing to the outside to keep dust, dirt and moisture out.
Let us know.

Problem is, this newbie threw out the old seals before comparing.
The only thing I remember about the old seal is that it was housed in painted metal with the lip out.
