i have a 1985 bayou 185 and i was wondering what the psi is on the fuel pump? it runs decent but when i get into the throttle, it bogs down. it does not matter what gear it is in. im thinking that its pumping fuel but not enough. thanks

 

gravity feed, right? in 1985 i don't believe that there WAS a fuel pump on ANY atv

it may not be an 85, but this thing does have a fuel pump. i don't want to sink alot of money in this wheeler because new pumps are expensive. i am considering putting in a universal car pump with a regulater. thats why im wondering about fuel pressure. thanks for any info

 

my buyou had a similar provblem so replaced the feulpump with a cheap canadian tire special that only put out 6 psi and it helped but later found that the battery wasnt quite up to "snuff" so give your battery a check also .my bayou was an 87 i do recall but that shouldnt matter
