Unhappy 850 XP Spike Limiter ???

I think it was mentioned here about the 850 having a torque limiter I have a few questions. It was mentioned in another forum that this can be "fixed" does onyone know what needs to be done for this fix, also I am planning on entering a few pulls (weight transfer sled) this summer will the limiter become engaged during a pull & what possible out come would it have? I ran a T-Cat in a pull last year & was very dissapointed how it pulled in part because of their torque limiter set up, it did engage.

A Polaris dealer in GA,Offroad Powersports, has been successful in shimming the limiter so it still functions but does not activate near as easily. I do not know the specifics of the fix but it does require disassembly of the transmssion. The guy that does it is a member on highlifter(IIRC his member name is offroadpowersports) or you could give them a call. He seems real helpful. He said they are only doing them in-house,not selling the parts to do it,basically due to the complexity and need for a few special tool to re-assemble the tranny..so he may or may not tell you how to do it.

Thanks HO I wish it wouldn't be so complicated to do, a mechanic at the local dealer was going to see what he could find out on a fix. I may try it out on drag sled to see if it will engage before I pull the tranny out.
