Default 850XP survey, hours, miles, riding style, terrain type, belt status

Forget it ..... in hind sight we already know how many have had problems and the safe assumption is the the other 850 guys must not have had a problem. I think we also understanding that WOT in high on unobstructed runs seems a recurring theme.

Ruggo..not a bad idea but one thing I would like to add is so far the guys I have seen posting about belt issues are saying they are actually breaking belts..that tells me they likely had issues long before the belt actually broke but did not realize the symptoms.

Yea at first thought I figured it would be interesting but after posting I realized it would be a waste of everyone's time.

Yo, 600 care free miles, I ride mostly in WV not a lot of mudding. I had some problems with my 800, I had to use low on steep hill climbs or risk heating the belt, no such problem with the XP, of course now that I have said this my belt is dissolving as I type.

Ive got 480 hard miles on mine almost all those miles have been on 28" zillas and the last 150-180 miles have been on RDC 2nd Gen 2.5" lift. The only problem is that front end issue (my parts came in this week going next week to get it fixed.) I did rip a rear boot but that was my fault i was in a bad place. All i got to say is it has done everything ive wanted it to and beyond its been a great machine and would buy one again.

1200 miles on mine. One broken ball joint and a-arm. Had the reflash done runs great now.
In the shop as we speak for the recall (crank case breather) another loose ball joint and both rear axles are clicking. There going to replace all that under warranty. I order a clutch kit from dirty dawg about 3 months ago, talk to them a couple and still have seen it. I'm giving up on them. No belt problems. And i ride like i stole it. Mud,sand, rocks, snow, ice. If any one has some advice on where to buy a good clutch kit? Mn and Wi driven.

General consensus is the QSC clutch kit. That or the hotseat (probably the same).

Google quadshop customs or hotseat performance.

I had the axles replaced because of the clicking and the breather hose recall done. Thanks to Highoctane on the sway bar mod, I can fit the tires I want. Other than that, only problem is finding time to ride. Great machine, and I wouldn't trade for another.

Ridden hard and fast (ooh baby!) with no problems other than the breather recall, and some dummy broke the trunk latch (who, ME???) My friend Jeff blew the belt off his inside 200 miles, but mine is in good shape. (Inspected before deer season) Mine is also a Nov 08 build, and his is an early '09, but I don't know if that makes a huge difference, besides cylinder liners.
