Angry 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFHO

I am needing a pressure regulator for my ATV. Would like to know if anyone has a source for this part without purchasing the entire fuel tank which is polaris option.
Thanks
Jean

I have been told that there is a pressure regulator above the fuel pump in the same line.

The fuel pressure regulator maintains the required operating system pressure of 39 psi + 3 psi . A rubber - fiber diaphragm divides the regulator into two separate sections , the fuel chamber and the pressure regulating chamber . The regulator ia a sealed , non serviceable assembly if it is faulty the pump assembly in the fuel tank must be replaced .

Default Pressure regulator

It is my understanding that there is no way to purchase this part without buying the entire fuel tank. Is this true? If yu know of any way I can purchase the fuel pump assembly without it costing $500. I would sure be interested in doing so.
Thanks
Jean

I purchased a fuel pump from Napa and the machine ran for a few weeks. It is now back to the same problem and I took it to a motorcycle shop and the folks there said it was the pressure regulator that they tested the fuel pump and it was pushing lots of fuel. I am at a loss and this has certainly been a disappointing $7,000 problem child. I feel as if I can spend the $500 and get a new fuel tank, however, I will have no guarantee that it will not do the same thing again. Polaris, is not willing to even discuss the issue and the dealer gets no farther with them than I do. If you think another fuel pump will do it I will certainly get another one for $80. and try again. Wish I had a magic wand. Appreciate you all so very much.
Thanks
Jean

dont know about another one, but alot of people on here have bought that fuel pump and are still running it w/out buying the polaris whole tank set up. sounds like as mentioned that that regulator is a non serviceabe part(go figure right), but i wouldnt spend the big bucks and buy an oem set up as its not worth it to me. imo
