Default 2007 800 Sportsman Pull Rope

Hey All --

Total Noobie but trying to learn. So far this place has been great!!! My question is......Does my 2007 Sportsman 800 have a pull Rope to pull start the machine? I haven't had any problems yet with the electric start, but am concerned for when the day comes and my battery is shot or something else like that happens. I have looked all over and hopefully I am not blind. Took a look online, but came up with nothing.

Thanks in advance!

none of the 800's has pull start. keep a good battery in it and maintained it should be good to go . batts. last anywhere from 3 to 6 years depending on how its used and maintained. imo

Thanks Stendori..........That's what I figured...just wanted to confirm that I wasn't blind. The machine is stored inside all winter so the battery never gets too cold and I use it all year around so the charge is always kept up.

i just dug mine out of storage and hasnt been ran in 5 months and hit the key and it fires right up. some poeple use battery tenders on thie rbike to keep the battery charged when not in use which doen work good ive been told. i just charge my battery up good before i store it so it wont freeze and forget about it until spring. 2nd 800 ive had w/ out any issues.

I wonder why they would have taken out the pull rope option? I guess if there are no problems with the electric start it shouldn't matter, but it is nice to know there is that fail safe. Maybe they tried to take little thing that would make these tanks lighter!!! ha ha

an 800 compression stroke would probably pull your arm off if you tried to pull start it lol

When I had a machine without a pull start I made a short set of jumper cables to carry with me. I always ride with friends so a jump vehicle was always around on those long far trips.
