Angry after market exhaust???????????????

So I bought a sick DR. D exhaust for my 660 grizzly , it's just the slip on. Anyways, My question is I put the darn thing on in the garage and it starts, and sounds wicked. So I take the big boy out the day after & drive an hour to our spot and it wouldn't start? for 2 hours I tried and not a thing. SO ****ed off I go back home and check the entire bike and i can't figure it out. anyone .....

P.S When i put the stock exhaust back on she started right up??????????????

the store said in warm temp it would be alright... it was about -2 out side would that make it not want to start. if so, a jetkit would fix all that?

wow yea -2 is gonna make it run real lean, yea it prolly just needs a size or two bigger on the main jet you might be able to call Dubach racing and talk to someone they might know the reccomended jet to use.

in order to use your new pipe, you will need a jet kit. the main jet only effects function at 75-100% throttle. so if it would not start, you need to open the low speed air/fuel screw at least 1/2 turn and or change pilot jet. in addition to this you will still need a main jet that is bigger in order to avoid damaging the engine and to gain power. removing the airlid, drilling holes and running a hi flow filter such as k&n can affect jetting too. yes your -2 weather will definitlely affect jetting as will altitude and barometric pressure. hope i helped.

WoW, that all sounds complicated. Would that be a setting manual of so sort with the new jetkit.

Not really complicated at all, just a clip on the needle that may have to be moved up or down. As far as the jet just get the one that they recommend for your location and put it in, both the main and the pilot. It really isn't that hard.
