Question Warrior cdi question

I have a 97 warrior and just recently bought a wiring harness off ebay and the cdi is wrong. I know there is the option of re wiring but i would perfer not to. I have the old cdi with several wires running out of it, and a newer one with holes for wires to plug in to. The newer cdi has the 4 pin and 8 pin plugs, however the harness is a 6 pin and 8 pin plugs. Any help would be appreciated, im stumped.

id say the wiring harness is from a different year, the easyest way i could think of is find out what year and buy the same cdi off of ebay

I think ive narrowed it down to one of the last year warriors, 90-96 had the wires leadin out of the cdi, 97-00 had the 4-8 hook up, im just tryin to find deffinate response that the 01- 04 warriors have the 6-8 plugs, so if anyone has a late model bike and can tell me for sure then im not just buying one more 200 dollar piece of plastic. all of the pics on ebay dont show plugs, and the ones that do are the 4-8 plugs
