Default 800 renegade

Hi
I,m looking at buying an 09 renegade 800,and would like to hear some opinions on this machine.the dealer only has one and test drives are not an option.
My current machine is a 700 sportsman, the machine before that was a 660 raptor ,I went from sport to utility and was hopeing for something in between.

Would tell him to F-off if I couldn't at least ride it around the parking lot.

We bought our Outlander 800 without a test drive. No problems.

The engine is a BEAST man. SO much power. Sounds awesome too! No problems with Visco-lock either. It's a great handling machine (and that's the Outlander, the Renegade will handle even better!). If you want more power, Ron Woods makes a bunch of stuff for Can Am.

Thanks for the honest input ,this is a big purchase for me and I wanted to hear from someone who had some hands on knowledge about the Can-Ams.

no problem b.prime!

A great resource for Can Ams is this forum:

Can-Am ATV Forum

Lots of info on the Renegade, as well as all other Can Am models.

From what I've read about the Renegade, it has a much sportier suspension than the Outlander, and just handle better overall. For a utility ATV, I find that the Outlander handles pretty well, so with an improved suspension I can only imagine what it would be like!

Good luck with everything!

Nice!

I saw some last weekend when I was up at my cottage with the LTR... I saw one regular 500 and 2 800X's... man they are nice machines. They went through some terrain that I didn't expect them to, and made it through with no problems!

Thanks for the input, I'm a long time die hard fan of honda's and love the reliability and resale value of them but I'm not sure how fun they will be on the trail, It seems to me that the hondas are more of a workhorse than a trail machine. I'm not going to get in a hurry with this purchase, I'm goint to spend some time online and do allot of research first,
the polaris looks really awesome but I here they break down allot and that worries me.
