I just bought the Lonestar Axcaliber and it doesn't look like it uses the Nuts from the Raptor stock axle to hold it tight inthe subframe, does this axle come with the two nuts to hold it in place or was I supposed to order them.

Please help
BJ

My Lonestar axle came with a special Lonestar billet nut. Could you have possibly missed it in the bottom of the box?

Try emailing them, I did the other night and had a response in my email when I woke up.

I installed a Lonestar in my raptor last week. Had no problems. I used the nuts from the factory axel. Everything went together smooth. You will have to clean the lock-tite residue off the threads of the nuts. I put a drop of lock-tite on the new axel just to be safe.

I have been told that the thread patterns on the Raptor and Banshee axles are different. (Thread pitch) If you were sold a Banshee Axle the Raptor axle lock nuts will not fit.

I just put a LS axle on my Raptor about a half an hour ago. Very easy I must say. I've never changed an axle before. Mine came with the LS axle nut. It's way better than the nuts from Yamaha. If yours didn't come with it, I'd call LS and ask them about it. I think next I'm gonna go with wider a-arms and shocks, it will look and handle trick after that.

My buddy did the same on his Raptor (axle) and added Douglas offset .190's on front and it matched the width of the axle with the spacers. Conciderably cheaper than a-arms. Looks great too! Of course if moneys aint a problem, than you could go your way. I got my douglas rims , but have to wait till funds permit me to afford the axle. Did I mention he wasn't married. Hoped this helped.

I installed the Axcaliber axle on my Raptor last week. Piece of cake. Seems to be a very well made item. The stock nuts work fine. I carefully measured the width of both axles. The Axcaliber with the spacers is 3.56" wider overall than the stock one. I also added Douglas .190 2+3 front wheels. They are offset 1" from stock. What a difference in handling. I ride dunes exclusively and the handling is way better. Much more stability, way less tippy, and it slides great. I don't jump so I set the front shock springs to the lightest setting, and adjusted the rear spring to its lightest setting. I really like the plushness of the suspension now and it sits a little lower which helps the stability some. This quad is a great duner now.
