Angry TRV chassis (How do I get to the filter?)

I'm trying to figure out 2 main things. 1 do I need to change oil/filter 10km or 10 hours or only at 300miles...

Someone said they need to be done at 10km for stuff like metal and crap that may get in and scratch the motor.. But I have the diesel engine and you know haha that's another post anyways and not the big issue.

I decided to replace filter/oil soon and I can't seam to reach the filter nor have I ever changed the oil or filter on anything in my life.

My problem is these images below. The circles show these sort of rivet snap in screw type things... Do I rip them out and will they break and how do I remove them without breaking and blah blah..

OR maybe there is a better way to access it on the TRV chassis...

Here is the images.. First one shows you the filter and 1 screw then 2nd points to the filter and shows tons of screws holding side in.

Those tabs are pretty east to get out. Just insert a small flat head screw driver under the edge of the "nail head" and lift/pry slowly. They push into an expanding sissor configuration underneath. When the nail is lifted out, the pressure is released and BOTH will lift out of the hole so you can remove the panels.

Take your time.....they can be stubborn.

Also you WILL be safe to run 300miles before your 1st change. Give the engine a chance to "break-in" properly. Your choice. I'm thinking the whole "metal in the engine" hype is pretty rare.

I waited with my 650H1 TRV to 300miles and switched to full AC synthetic, and now AMSOIL at 675miles. I'm good for another 500 now.

I've heard of some getting 3500+ and as much as 10000! YOur diesel should push the high-end envelope for mileage w/np. Do the required regular/preventative maintenence requirements and have fun.

It IS an OFF-ROAD utilitiy machine. So it's subject to forces & stress's not found in street machines. Get in the habit of visual inspections and hands-on "common sense" type thinking.

good luck
