I just got the april 2001 issue of dirtwheels and my raptor is in it. On page 163 in the top right corner. It is the ad for ProTect Fabrication. They used my Raptor as a prototype to make skid plates. I just thought I would let everybody know, I was pretty excited when I saw it.

Me too! I subscribed in December and haven't received my first issue either. What gives?!?

 

i got subscribed to 4 wheel ATV action in december and still haven't recieved my firsxt issue of that either. dirt wheels and ATV action both have the same publisher if i'm not mistaken. maybe their just behind from all the subscribtions they got at christmas time.

 

I dont know why you havent gotten the april issue yet, but as far as I know they only publish 10 mags a year, 12/10 = remainder of 2, so 2 months of the year you wont get a mag.

 

From my experiences with these two mags. its normal to wait a couple months to get your first issue. My buddy subscribes to 4Wheel Action and he wrote them asking why it took so long. He's a barber and told them that his customers were getting pissed waiting for his issues to come in so they can read while waiting

 

I have the Pro Tect stainless steel skid on my Raptor, in fact I had the skid before I got the quad! It has already taken some big time hits on rocks with no visible damage other than on the bottom, naturally. Bolts up perfectly.
