Just to let you all know that it looks great! It's silvery blue and smooth... I can't wait to try it out for heat dissapation. Matches great with my FMF spark arrestor. Well worth a small 75$ to get the pipe coated!

B,

You can thank me now????

Its still gonna get hot to the touch, but now where near what it use to be. It still smokes about all other coatings when it comes to keeping things cool.

Glad to see you are enjoying your investment!

You're probably having a blast getting that thing back together. Have you put the Flywheel back in yet?

Keep us updated at "Bad Boys"!

Later,

EC

Thanks E!

I woke up this morning to FedEx at the door. Didn't even take time to get dressed and took the pipe out of the box, ran out to the garage and put her where she should be...beautiful!

As for the flywheel, I am waiting on Zorro to see if he has a torque wrench that goes up to 55 ft/lbs. Mine only goes half that far. Plus it will be easier to install once the cylinder is back in place...next week most likely!

I stopped at the Jet-Hot shop in Pascagoula, MS ( on the way home from a diving job ) on Monday, all of the display stuff looked great. I guess that you wouldn't put the ugly stuff out for the customerd to see... I'm starting to get some light surface rust on the HPD pipe, so Jet-Hot will will be in the very near future.
Keep us posted on the Turbine II Silencer, as I may be looking to upgrade from the stock silencer.

bodineus,

Thats why I said "about". Personally all that I have had extended experiences w/ is Chrome, Nickel and Jet-hot. Of the 3 there is no comparison. From what I have "read", the HPC coating dont play around either; but (this is speculation here) Jet-HOts site proposes that thier coating has more cooling characteristics than that of an HPC coating. I was just bragging on JET-hot, HPC could be just as good or better.

Where's a good HPC coating site? I'll check it out, b/c I have another pipe that I may have a coat put on.

P.S- If your looking to get rid of the heat they have a coating that does that. I have a pipe I can run for a hour and touch it after. Don't get me wrong it's warm and it will cost you lots of $$$.
