Unhappy I crashed the 400ex today! Please look at the pics I need help!

So today I was riding the 400ex and I ran into a rock! Dammit! The rock broke the black plastic surrounding the bike. Luckily it didn't break the lights, and a part of the rock shot through the plastic and punched a hole in the frame. What I want to know is if this damage to the frame is serious or if it isn't that big of a deal?

Here the lights got squished in by the rock.

Here is the hole in the frame. It is about 1/2 of an inch long.

Here it is again. The damaged frame is infront of the radiator.

And here is the hole in the plastic.

So is this serious or is it really nothing to worry about?

P.S. Today my dad told me not to crash the quad. Come back home, biggest disappointment of my life!

At least you don't have to worry about the first scratch anymore.

Glad you were not hurt.

Look it over befor your next ride. then ride for an hour or so (like you would ride aney other time) then give it another inspection. You want to make sure ther is no new cracks forming. Glad you was ok.

Doesn't look too bad, but if it worries you, take it to a welding shop. They shouldn't charge too much to fix it up.

Nothing to worry about. I cart wheeled my 400ex down a rocky slope and it crushed the front plastic and head light so bad that it crushed the cdi, split it wide open. It also bent the top of the steering stem so that the bars were laying on the tank.
Got a new cdi, a used stem and used plastic and was back on the trails for about $100.00

If that is the worst that ever happens to that bike then you are lucky.

I wouldn't worry about the ding on the frame, as long as everything stayed straight.

For the split in the plastic, I'd keep an eye on it and if it starts to grow drill stop holes and maybe plastic weld?

Wouldn't be pretty, but what the heck... quads are made to be smacked off trees and rocks and stuff.
