hey guys, I got a 400ex bored 426, 11:1 wiseco piston, no base gasket, stage 2 hot cam, HMF exhaust, removed choke, mild port and polish job, 1mm oversize valves (intake and exhaust) uni filter with no lid on box..... and it will laugh at a 450 all day long.. : ) Im looking for that extra added edge and the only thing left i can do is the ignition..... (or nitrous.. but im lacking the extra 800 bucks to install that if ya know what i mean) I was lookin at an after market rev box to up the limiter. I do mostly trail riding so I would never use the rev limiter anyways except when I take her to the dunes... (about 3 times a year) so im not too worried about overreving. But I'v heard about these changing the curve and advancing the timing a lil bit.... but my stage 2 hotcam also did that. would i be advanced too much if i put the new rev box on there ??? and iv heard about people slotting the cam bolt holes to retard the cam.... but that doesnt really sould like its worth it to me,... to advance it with an ignition,.. to retard it right back at the cam. and i know a lot of people on here have tried EVERYTHING possible to 400's, so i figured this would be my best bed. any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
