Need help makin my 250 ex faster

Talking Need help makin my 250 ex faster

JUST TRADED MY 04 SCRAMBLER 500 4X4 IN FOR A BRAND NEW 07 TRX 250 EX.....THIS IS AN AWSOME QUAD AND iLOVE IT MORE THAN MY SCRAMBLER (CUZ IT WAS ALWAYS IN THE SHOP) PROBLEM IS THE TOP END SPEED IS A LIL SLOW FOR ME...EVEN OFF THE LINE iWISH IT WAS A LITTLE FASTER...iWILL BE GETTIN AN K&N AIR FILTER AND JET THE CARB AND A NEW PIPE...IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE iCAN DO TO MAKE IT A LIL FASTER..THANKS IN ADVANCED

Not much else, being a sgaft drive quad you can't change the gearing. About all you can do for the top end is to go to 22" rear tires.

Yeah, not the best quad for hopping up. Enjoy it for what it is.

You could always go into the motor. Head work, cam, and valve work would seriously wake it up.

By the time you get done paying for that as well as the exhaust and intake, you could have puchased a used 400EX that will crush the 250 in handling, speed, power, suspension, etc.

i would of kept the scrambler, but there isnt much your gonna do to a 250 to make it as fast as the scrambler.

iHAD THE SCRAMBLER FOR 2 MONTHS...AND IN MY POSSESSION FOR 2 WEEKS.....IT WAS ALWAYS IN THE SHOP..IN THAT 2 MONTHS I "HAD" IT,IT WAS IN THE SHOP...SPENT 4,600$ IN THAT LITTLE TIME..iWAS GETTING TIRED OF FIXING EVERY LITTLE THING...DONT WANT TO MAKE IT AS FAST AS THE SCRAMBLER iUNDERSTAND IT WILL NEVER BE AS FAST AS THE 500 BUT JUST NEED IT A LIL BIT FASTER WHEN iMAX OUT

i have an 07 250ex and just pput a dyno jet kit and put a full hmf exhaust on yesterday with a k&n air filter... you can def tell the difference with exhaust for me but top end really much nothing to do... i've got mine to 50-55 stock gonna try again with all the mods.. but i def wouldnt touch the engine....

Unless you change the gear ratio (you can't on the shaft drive 250EX) or the rear tire size, no matter what you do to the motor or exhaust, you will not increase the top speed.
Top speed is determined by the rev limiter.
