Default 4x help....shafts spinning but not tires...

On my 98 Scrambler 400 4x....

Got stuck, hit the 4x button, then throttle.....nada....

Anyway, both shafts were spinning, so obviously its in the hubs, but me being a newb about these hubs have no clue what to look for, so any advice on what should go where or what common probs are is appreciated!!

Thanks!!

Hey man could just be electrical issue there's magnets inside that are energized to lock up the hubs. Check for power at the switch.

whens the last time you replaced your hub fluid wwwww/ the correct fluid? it might be as simple as that or the coils could be bad or a broken power wire to them.
