Brute Force 750 hub nut stuck
#1
Hello to all, new user here. My name is Ray and my user name is lowcountryray because I live in the low country in SC. I have a 06 Brute Force 750 with a bad rear axle. In trying to take it off I can't get the hub nut off. Does it have left handed treads?
Thanks

No, it does not have left-handed threads. It has, however, been torqued to 195 foot pounds.
That is your problem. When I removed mine, I had to use a four foot long thick pipe fitted over the handle of the socket wrench for leverage. Then I had to stand on the end of the pipe to get it loose. You'll never break it free without some serious leverage, or a 450 ft.lb. impact wrench. Then you're going to have to figure out how to keep the rear wheels from rotating. I have ITP wheels on mine so I was able to get a long bar through the spokes and then have someone sit on the back to keep it from coming up. Keep at it.......you'll get it.
