Default Brakes 01 500 ho

I have a 2001 sportsman 500HO. I was wondering how hard is it to put brakes in?

Is it like putting brakes in a car, Or totally different?

On front brakes just remove the caliper bolts, use a screwdiver to pry caliper piston back, remove the 3/16" allen screw (this allows caliper bracket to go back far enough to pry off pads from the post the screw was in,then the other side can be taken off. If brackets are really dry grease em up like a car, they just pull off. After pads back on both sides, pump brakes, adjust the allen screw clockwise while turning rotor by hand until rotor fells a little harder to spin, then back off screw 1/2 turn. This helps align caliper with rotor.

Easy as a car. I sand my rotors to get them smooth after I remove the calipers. Cycle parts.com has the best prices that I have found on Polaris Brake pads. Buy the Polaris pads, they are top of the line and last longer.
