trx250r 250r, how much tranny fluid

Default trx250r 250r, how much tranny fluid

i have a 1987 250r. how much transmission fluid does it take?

There should be a bolt on the right side just under and forward of the fill hole. Take it out and fill tilll fluid comes out then put it back in and it's full. Should be about .7 of a quart

i changed the fluid and when i went ti put the bolt back in it would screw in all the ways but not go tight? what can i do to fix this, oh and i cant spin it by hand

Which bolt is stripped the drain bolt or the check bolt ..

the drain bolt, well its not the drain bolt, its the part where it screws into, but its not leaking on me

I have the same problem. I bought one of those rubber plugs with the butterfly nut on the bottom from autozone. Haven't had any problems.

so i use the rubber plug instead of the bolt?

Yeah, bring your reg. plug to match it up. ( I think it's a 14mm plug ) put some oil on the rubber plug so it dosen't stick, stick it up in there and tighten the butterfly nut till it's tight. I do recommend using a new plug each time you change the tranny oil or fluid just to be safe.
