Default Help! 95 Big Bear

I have a 95 big bear that is showing stuck in reverse on the light gauge. You can move the shifter all around and it still will not disingauge from reverse. Since it shows in reverse the electronic start will not work. You can manually put it in nuteral and it will pull start just fine. What is wrong?

not sure about a 95 but i know if u hold back the brake as far as it will go you should be able to start the bike with the electronic start even though it shows you are in reverse. Sorry but this is all the advice i have. I know on mine ive had my reverse light blink and it was due to the speedometer cable being lose or came off.

well... it could be a few thing's if u got it in deep mudd/watter it might have fried the relay near the steering colum or there is a short to the sensor for reverse or like the guy above u said iv heard of that being the problem a few times too...

mine did the same thing and there is a piece of aluminum idk what it is under the rack that i hit with a hammer and it tuned off for me and hasnt happened again. lol it might be a mixture of problems but U can still start it electrically if u hit the breaks on ur left side there is a switch that allows u to start it even if it says it in reverse

it could be a mixture of thing's tooo lol
