Don't overinflate the tires!!! The balooney stock tires that come on the 90, contribute a lot to the suspension....

5 psi sounds high. Check the plaque on the fender, or the owner's manual if the plaque isn't there.

I was on a group ride a while back, and was sweeping trail. One little girl on a Honda 90 kept falling behind and I was always having to wait for here. We went through one long sandy section, and I noticed that her wheels were constantly spinning. She was getting very frustrated!!!

At first I figured that she was just really heavy on the throtle, but later it occured to me that her tires might be to hard. Turns out, dad in his wisdom had put 10+ psi in them, and that is what was killing her. I aired her way down, and she had no more trouble keeping up with the other riders the rest of the day.

if you go and get 300ex a-arms spindles, calibers, etc... there is a kit on ebay that will make all that stuff plus 300ex shocks bolt right on and you could get rid of those balloon tires and get holeshot or razr front tires. i personally like holeshots better

you could get all that stuff pretty cheap used on ebay you would need

1 a-arms
2 spindles
3 hubs
4 tie rods
5 calipers
6 brake lines
7 hand brake because you are going from drum to disc brakes
8 rotors if not already on the hubs
9 rims and tires if the old ones don't fit
10 and of course that kit

don't think im forgetting any thing

good luck it looks like a lot but a salvage yard might have a whole 300ex front end

My feeling is that unless your kid is going to race, there isn't much sense in pumping any money and effort into a bunch of aftermarket stuff for the 90 (except maybe a skid plate and bumper).

Save it for the day when they are ready for a Raptor 250!

It will be a few years before he will be ready for a 250. I will keep him on the 90 and thin give it to his brother and sister.
