Rim question 01 scrambler 4x4
#1
I bought this quad with 10" rims on it. not sure they came with that size stock but looking to put a set of zilla's on it that a friend gave me. but they are 12's. does any other quad fit the polaris bolt pattern because I do know the back are different then the front. just curious or if I have to find some used ones from only a polaris. thanks !

Well after researching I guess they dont come with 12's and if you can find something to fit you cant put a large tire on it or something I guess. what size are people using on the 4x4 polaris scramblers ? for the 10" rim ???

I dont know if I can really go to much bigger if I even go with a 12, I have 22x11x10 on the back now, I was hopeing for a 26" in the back, I am just not familier with the tire allowance and clearence on these machines, I rather ask the people that know.

Dont ruin a Scrambler with big tires.they are not designed for them and if you get them to fit you will have a hard time getting the tire ratio right along with the clutching dialed in.
Some have used 25s but not a good isea since there is no low range.

What size tire and type do you recommend is what I am asking, I gave back the 12's I had because I couldnt find the right rims, not to mention I have nice aftermarket ITP 10" that are on it now. I am just looking to get away from the paddle tire that is on the bike now. I am more into muddy terrain and water and such. sand sometimes but nothing crazy.

Stay stock sizes but go with a more aggressive tread.I like the Gators in mud and muck but they ride rough and suck in sand. The best all around tire I have found is the stock 489ATs good in everything but not great in any thing.Just like a Scrambler

I definately wont go with a stock tire, they have never done good for me at all even with my other 4 wheelers. and I dont know the stock size that was on it, I havent had the 4 wheeler all that long to learn about this thing. I just recently heard something about hub oil and learning where the transmission fill and drain points are and such. I have ridden the bike 1 time other then in the back yard and street and that was because the secondary clutch broke. its fixed now and hauls butt, but I dont care about the speed, I rather the tourqe and such.

I put a set of 22x11-10 Zilla's on the back of my Scrambler. They have all kinds of traction. With the stock tires I was getting stuck once or twice a ride. I have yet to get stuck with the Zillas on the back.
