Hey, I was thinking about getting a 420LR big bore kit from Trinity Racing. Does anyone have this mod for their Banshee? Is it alot different than stock? And did it take along time to get your Banshee worked on?

I've got a buddy that has the Trinity 420lr in his banshee and it screams. Trinity told him the 420 puts out around 73 hp.

I have a Trinity Racing Stage 3, 420 Long Rod motor in my Banshee. According to Trinity, this motor is supposed to make approx. 70 hp with a single carb kit. My bike has dual Keihin 33mm PWK's for more top-end.

At my local sand dragstrip, my best time is now 5.13 sec @ 62 mph. I weigh 200 lbs & my quad is a Banshee, not a drag bike that used to be a Banshee. This time was with paddles, of course. Stock with pipes (stock tires also), my best was 5.87 sec @ 55 mph. That is a lot of gain! The power is so smooth that you don't realize how fast it is until you compare it to other machines.

It took Trinity 6 weeks to get the motor back to me. It is worth the wait. You really can do anything with it, although I enjoy drag racing the most. I won the one flattrack race that I entered this year, and I have ridden it in the woods. It is just better at doing it all than I would have ever imagined.

A couple of recommendations: If you ride on sand, get paddles or you will just burn the tires off; If you get dual carbs & a thumb throttle be prepared to grind on the springs for a reasonable throttle tension; be ready to install larger pilot jets.

My bike looks relatively stock too. The only obvious mods are the Stage 4 dual intake manifolds and the big carbs.

I really love this motor. It idles nice and smooth, and runs great. It suprises everyone that doesn't know me or my bike. I do recommend this engine.

Also, I have Paul Turner Hi-Rev pipes on my 420 Banshee & I don't think that it would run any better with any other brand of pipes. These pipes have always worked extremely well for me and my 420.
