Default 4x4 question

i have a 1998 500 scrambler 4x4. i noticed the ofter day the right front wheel feels like it is sticking in 4x4 sometimes. i noticed once when i had the hub apart the armature plate was still stuck to the strut. do the armature plate's after time become permanently magnetized and need replaced? i also keep my hub fluid clean and changed regularly with the polaris hub fluid. any idea's why it is doing this?

You pretty well answered your own questions! Just replace the armature plates, torque hub nut to 12 foot pounds. They become magnetized over time the same way a screwdriver does when close to a magnet,it eventually will become magnetized.
