Good job on the #'s Rick!
You should post them in the XP social group section so there's an easy place for others to reference them!

Not sure where the above numbers came from but the 550 and 850 use the same Polaris oil/filter change kit. I think I was the 1st to find the cross for the 850, I did it the old fashion way, based on specs and again IIRC, the 500,550 and 850 all use the same filter..which is a 1358...the Wix 1358 it is identical to the Polaris 850 OEM filter..internally and externally and that is what I run.

Edit..BTW the 1356 is a little too long for the 850...it is about 3/4" longer than the OEM filter(1356) and comes almost flush with the bottom of the skid plate..I had some of those as that is what the 800 uses. Other than that they are about the same as the 1358,except for maybe a slight bypass valve difference. Would it work? I imagine it would, but do to it's length it will be very suceptible to damage. This is all just from memory though..but I do know for a fact the 1356 is the right one for the 850 and 550.

I'm not sure on the 500, I would have to look. I know the 550 and 850 take the same filter, but it's different from 800 filter. The oil change kits are totally different from the 800 to the XP's.

I re-researched it to re-fresh my memory...the 500,550 and 850 use a 1358..the 800 uses 1356,which the main difference is that it is about 3/4" longer.
Don't let the different OEM part numbers listed in the fiche for the 500,550 and 850 throw you...that is likely(my guess) because the OEM filter for the 500 and 550 is from Fuji therefore carries a different number..like Roofer said..the XP oil change kits cover both the 850 and 550..same filter

So I don't make a mistake in purchasing...what specific model number do I need for a K&N oil filter for my 550? So many numbers being thrown around here...

I like having the nut on the end for putting on and taking off the filter..plus I think they are great products I would like to use on my machine along with Amsoil 0w-40.
