I want to get a 250 dirtbike or a 400ex. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a 400, but if it would be better, I will. What do you guys think about each. I am thinking about a kx250

 

well, the kx would definitely be a lot faster. but it could require a lot more maintnance than the 400ex would. i have a friend with a 125 dirt bike, and he's on his 3rd engine rebuild now in less than a year. i like dirt bikes, and have fun when i ride them, but i still like quads better.

 

Well i currently own a rm 250. Takes alot of work and money to keep it up. If you decide to get a bike keep it clean and if you break some thing or befor it completly wears out get a new one to save alot of hassle. I Only run the best of everything from oils to accessories. Im currently looking for a 400ex or something of the sort. (4 stroke racing quad). Cause of the less maintnence and you dont have to rebuilt if every month and a half. What kind of terrain are you going to be riding on?
