Default How to wake up a 2002 Rancher 350?

Any tricks or mods to wake up a boring 2002 rancher 350? Carb mods? jetting? Any help is appreciated. Looking for more power without upgrading to a bigger bike. It is bone stock now. Thanks in advance

Get an HMF Utility Series pipe, (and get the "Quiet Core" insert) a UNI air filter, and a bigger main jet for the carb. You must do all three at the same time to get any performance increase.

This is the first step in increasing power and performance, and is about all you can do without tearing into the engine itself, but you will notice an appreciable increase in power.

Any idea on the jet size? What's already in there? Does it have a pilot/slow jet that should be changed also? Never looked at the carb, but just changed the jets on an xr650l mc & had to change both and do some other mods to the carb.

There is a kit made by Big Bore that has the muffler, jet kit, and a K&N air filter, all in one.

FMF PowerCore 4 Muffler. If you don't need to be waterproof, vent the airbox lid for better air intake. UNI air filter. And...a rejet.

Mine perked up a fair bit. It was better with the K&N than the UNI, but then I discovered the K&N was passing fine dirt into the engine....so be wise and avoid K&N along with the Swine Flu!

I would avoid the K&N filter as well...good for racing, not so hot for riding

Wakes them up and doesn't cost anything
