2007 Hawkeye frame weakness?
#1
My son was riding his Hawkeye 300 4x4 the other night and backing the quad on a slight hill when he turned it and lost control.
He and the quad barrel rolled once and my son was thrown off. He was not injured badly, just bruised a bit.
When my friends and I uprighted the quad, we noticed that the steering was off. Thinking that maybe the tie rod was bent or something, I dismissed it till I got home. I was shocked when I looked under the quad and found the frame had actually bent behind the a-arm brackets!
Is there any recalls or anyone else experiencing issues with this?
Seems to me that frame should be a whole lot tougher. The quad didn't roll violently either.
I've noticed issues with frame breakage on the Hawkeyes in previous years when I googled Hawkeye frames.

I am interested in this information as well. I have a 06 Hawkeye. All the recalls were done at delivery, but if there is something that could endanger my son or myself, I would like to know. Possibly a quick welded plate in a location or two could strengthen a potential weak spot. Thank you in advance for any input.
