for casual riding you should be fine, but you would be pushing the limit when jumping. I am 5'7" and weigh 170 and my quad bottoms out when I jump any higher than 3 feet.
I think you would be happier with the 400ex, but if you really have to have reverse then maybe look into getting a raptor or warrior.

When I was shopping for a new sport bike, I rode the 300EX. It seemed tiny, and was uncomfortable to ride. I'm 6' tall.

A guy in my group is your size and rode one for several years. When he finally was ready to "move up" because the speed and handling of the machine limited him, he got a 250R.

three feet and you bottom? How are you landing? flat?

unless you exteremly large i don't see why you would bottom if you are landing CORRECTLY.

I am 6' 175 pounds, and i had no trouble with it. I'm not getting into this arguement again. The 300ex and 400ex, there isn't that much of a size diff. I've rode both plenty of times....!

I'll always take my 330 any day

go to the dealership... sit on it, bounce on it, turn the bars see if you got knee clearance etc.

Obviously the 400 will be more comfortable for somebody your size but that doesnt mean the 300 is too small for you either. I'm 6ft, 200lbs and i ride a 300 all of the time and love it.

maybe I'm jumpin higher than three feet. I dont know, it just seems to bottom easy.
I try to land on all 4 to distribute the impact equally, but lately I've been bringing the rear down first and it seems to help a little.
