300ex snorkel
#1
I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a snorkel for a 300ex. I have been riding on the river that is by the house and it makes me nervous running through a bunch of water with the factory intake. Thanks fir any help in advance.

That would be a particularly difficult snorkel to create. If memory serves me correctly, the air is drawn in through a hole in the bottom of the top of the frame near the steering head, flowing through both sides of the upper frame, and connecting through two small hoses as it reaches the airbox.
The most reasonable method (and efficient airflow) would occur only if you were able to create another airbox and run the snorkel in a single tube from the front of the bike back to the airbox.
Having ridden a 300EX in creeks for years, I can tell you that it is an easy bike to do a water wheelie...it will lift the front end up high and out of the water, which works great if you only need to go in a straight line
