Honda 400EX Plastics
#1
Hello all,
After a good deal of searching I found and bought a 2006 Honda 400EX in great mechanical condition. I bought it from the original owner who had put about 100 hours on it. He appeared to have taken good care of all the mechanicals, but the plastics are well scratched up.
Has anybody tried or found a way to buff plastics to improve or reduce the appearance of scratches?
Another question - out of curiosity - what might you expect to pay for a set of new plastics for this machine?
Thanks for any advice you can give me.
Doug

it is very labor intensive to get scratches out of plastic. If you have to have shiny new stuff, the easiest way is to contact Meier plastics, who can make you a set in a lot of different colors.
you could just get a big fancy decal set to cover the worst areas, and then keep riding. Unless you are only riding in parades, you WILL scratch your ride when you take it off road
