Hey Boys.
Question for you ATC 250R owners or past riders.
I just bought one from my cousin, and it was in rough shape, so I'm still in the process of rebuilding the engine. My problem is I ride with the Mud Divers ATV club, and as you can probably tell, they like their mud. So, my question is, can I hang in the mud with guys who ride Polaris Sportsman 500's and other 4x4 newer machines, or am I gonna be getting pulled out all the time.
I'm just wondering what I have to look forward to this coming spring. I love the mud, but I hate getting stuck all the time.
Thanks guys!!

You will get stuck unless you buy some really aggressive rear tires. The atc 250r is built for speed not for mud. Mud is gonna really tear it up. It will make it run a lot hotter. You will not have the ground clearance of the other bikes so you will get stuck easily. The difference is when you get stuck, you can lift it up and move it out and go on your way. You can't do that with a sportsman or other 4x4. I know when i get stuck on my xplorer i better plan on looking for something to winch on too. If i were you i wouldn't put it in the mud. Mud just tears up your machine. Get a little utility quad for that.

I agree.....you won't have a chance in the mud with the three wheeler. It's like comparing the traction of a Z28 and a 4X4 in the snow. The Z is not meant for that and won't give your the traction you're looking for. Get a 4X4 for that stuff.

Hi, I live in MN and would be interested in the 250r since it wouldn't do good in the mud. Tell me a price.

Thanks
