Finally sold my Hensim for 2800. Found a artic cat on CRaigslist tHat has issues for cheap. here is copy of the listing............


This 4 wheeler has: Radiator Kit, Lift Kit, Snorkel Kit, 30" Mud Lite XXL Tires, Automatic High/Low, Push Button 4 Wheel Drive, Trailer Hitch. This 4 wheeler runs good. It has a problem slowly messing up starters. It needs a new crank case 2450.00 OBO


What do you guys think. I am very mechanically inclined. And have almost no doubt that i can handle a motor swap. How can it need only a crankcase? not a whole motor................

 

if it is a 2007 and it already needs a new crank case, it has been thoroughly flogged.

The mods on the bike indicate it has been used extensively in the deep mud, so your drivetrain, seals, joints, etc. will have seen lots of wear and tear by comparison to other atvs.
My opinion, since you asked, is to low-ball counteroffer the heck out of it and see if the owner finally caves and sells.
Mechanically inclined or not, it will take a LOT of your work to get back into dependable condition.
Having said that, let me add....GO FOR IT!
