I never really payed attention to AC all that much but they offer alot of different models now(28). They also offer a Diesel powered ATV and a 3 Mud Pros a 650,700 and 1000 which are snorkeled and have 28" stock!




I just did not realize how into ATVs Arctic Cat is committed,WOW.

 

I saw the MudPro at a show in Southern NH and it is impressive. I haven't seen one out on the trails yet but imagine that not too much will stop it.

 

rode a mudpro. not for very long and not in any mud. A little underpowered, but I imagine it would be great in the mud.

 

28" tires would rob the biggest ATV of there power I would imagine.

 

well they geared it to 4.0,but im not sure what the regular bike is geared at to begin with.

 

Never thought of that,its just not there reg ATV thats just snorkeled with big 28 tires added. The thing may be geard reduced and clutched different, like the hard core Mud guys do to there ATVs.

Looked at the mud -pro when I was shopping around for a new quad. Dealer told me yes they are geared differently to handle larger tires and get more low end grunt. Also stated that driveline componets are much beefier than the standard quad.

 

yeah i just ran across their site and the new 2010 lineup yesterday....impressive rigs they got now, and fill alot of niches with the mud pro, the diesel, and a dumpbox model much like the polaris sportsman x2. look forward to seeing a test of that mudpro 1000 in the mud!
