Default Reservoir shocks question

What are the benefits or reservoirs on your shocks?

Heat dissipation, and a larger gas volume so you can achieve nice things like longer travel, etc.

When the shock is working hard, the nitrogen heats up and the shock "fades." The reservoir allows for a larger gas volume, and additional cooling. In turn, the shock action stays more consistent. If you are upgrading and ride hard I would spend the extra coin for the rezzies.

You will notice that most stock rear ends have reservoirs, it's the fronts that most often do not.

I put WorksPerformance Steelers with reservoirs on my 400EX nearly 10 years ago, and they are as good as the day they were new!
