Default Plow System for SP850 XP EPS

I'm about to purchase the SP 850XP EPS, what is the best plow/winch system. I will be using this for light commercial plowing?

How does this ATV handle a 60" blade or am I better off with a 54"-52"?

Thanks!

Check out Blackline Plows. Pricey but pretty deluxe.

I'd check out Warn's Provantage system, I'm not sure if they make a mount for the XP's yet, or the previous model warn plows are nice, I have the older style, and I really like it, but it isn't quick disconnect, and the Provantage's are

Also cycle country plows are very nice too

And you have have plenty of power for a 60", but if your doing sidewalks, my 54'' all the way angled will fit down a side walk, but it's tight, so if you do sidewalks I'd consider the 52"

If you are not doing sidewalks I would not go smaller than a 60". I love my moose. I have done light commercial work with it for 5 years and it has held up well. I also have a glacier 2 and love the ease of hookup however I have not used it yet. The warn provantage system looks good but I do not know anyone with one nor have I seen it in person.

I bought the Tusk 60" for my 850XP. Haven't used it yet but I'm pretty sure it'll hold up very well.
Cheers,

I have the 60" warn pro vantage. I have hooked it up but not used it yet. I get 26" of lift height on the 850!! I have had the glacier 1 and 2 system in the past. This warn looks to be built much sturdier than either glacier system i had and ALMOST as easy to hook up.There are 4 vertical steel bars that are reinforcing the blade. There are just 2 pins(up front) used to hook it up. I would guess the weight is about twice what my other plows were. I cant wait for the snow to try it out, but it seems excellent so far.

I have the Glacier II and it works great. We had a lot of snow in MI the past few years and I have plowed 6' + mounds at the end of my driveway. The plow easily handles what the machine is capable of. I went with the 52" plow - any bigger will turn your machine sideways (with an angle and a wet snow). Plus - I can angle it and go down the trails with it on and remain inside the 48" width. Best size IMO...Jeff

I have the G2 for my XP with a 60" blade and the only real problem I had last year was with the cheap skid shoes they put on stock. I also took the lift bar off and hooked my winch cable to the plow where the bottom of the lift bar attaches to the plow. I did this because I broke the cable because of the lack of travel for the winch with the bar in place.

I was thinking of going with the Glacier II & 60" plow just because the dealer can install it before I pick up the new machine..

Now I have to give these other systems a thought..

How does the 60" plow with 6"-12" work on the 850xp eps, does it push the machine sideways as someone mentioned?

Thanks for the help!

The Glacier 2 if it is anything like the Sportsman models (Non-XP) is easy to install. As long as you don't mind putting some nuts, bolts, springs etc. together. Its really simple assembly and a FUN project to do. All that said, MD weather has been quite mild the last several years so I haven't had the opportunity to push our long overdue Blizzard snow yet, lol.

Many have claimed that its plow frame is weak needing re-enforcement. I really can't make claims either way since I haven't put it to the test. its my gut feeling that I will have NO problems with it since we just mainly get the lighter seasonal snows here with a 16-24" dump every 5-7yrs. Could this be the year? Bring it on baby, lol!
