trx 300

Does the solenoid just click, or are you sure it is actually engaging. When you puch the button, you should have full battery voltage on the line going from the solenoid to the battery. If you do, then you have a starter problem (or the motor is locked up). Is it a trx300 or a trx300ex? If it is the utility, can you start it with the kick-start?

use a volt/ohm meter, check the battery voltage with everything off.
then check the battery voltage while trying to start the bike.
voltage should be 12-13 volts with no load and see how low it drops while trying to start the bike.....if it goes real low like 9 or lower try charging the battery or buy a new battery. the battery on my wifes 300 started great for years and then died all at once.
kick started fine but would not ele. start.... new batt. solved all that .
polymite.
