Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make the banshee more trail worthy without losing topend?I ride in tight woods but also love to fly down dirt roads.looking for experienced comments not"Well maybe you could...""although it has never been done".Hey not to be rude but I have a limited budget.
thanks

The cheapest thing you could do would be to drop a tooth on the front sprocket...you will not notice that much of a drop in the top end.

Well you should know this is a high budget sport.
But non the less the only advise i can give you is a set of tourque pipes by fmf check e bay for used and go to a single carb, new around $400.00. But also check e bay. Hope this helps you out

if you are willing to spend some money, you could get a power-valve for it. better bottom end probably same top-end

The list of mods you can do is huge. Best bet is handling and suspension, Wider A-Arms and Axle help out, just dont go to wide or you get caught up in trees. As for motor mods, well, FMF Fatties seem to work good around here, Looking into their SST pipes though. Airfilter, Porting, ect. ect. All add there little bit, and just about every mod you do to the motor will have variations that are for bottom to mid, mid to top, ect. You really have to look at the power that you already create, and how you can use it most effectivly. BTW, I believe (cant really remember why they use roundslides) flatslide carbs give you better bottom end, as will a single carb. so try to keep that in mind when doing any mods. If you need any more info just ask.
